LEARNING JOURNEY

DIFFERENT STAGES OF LEARNING

Primary Years – Laying the Foundation for Lifelong Learning

The Primary Years at Vrajbhoomi are a crucial stage where children build the foundation for independent learning and holistic growth. During these years, students become more confident in expressing themselves, thinking critically, and understanding how classroom concepts connect to the real world. Through hands-on, interactive learning experiences, children develop strong skills in language, numeracy, observation, and reasoning. This stage nurtures curiosity and strengthens the joy of learning, preparing students for future academic challenges with confidence and enthusiasm.

Pedagogy

The Primary Years follow teaching practices that support gradual conceptual development, interactive lessons, and activity-based learning across subjects. Classrooms encourage questioning, discussion, and exploration so students learn by understanding, not memorising. Teachers guide learners through personalised attention, small-group work, and differentiated tasks to help each child progress at a comfortable pace. The programme emphasises language, numeracy, science awareness, creativity, physical development, and social–emotional learning, ensuring students grow into balanced and confident young learners.

Our Curriculum

The Primary Years curriculum at Vrajbhoomi supports the development of strong academic skills along with emotional, social, and creative growth. The curriculum is age-appropriate and structured according to NEP 2020’s 5+3+3+4 model, ensuring a smooth transition from foundational learning to deeper subject understanding. The focus is to give students the chance to discover new interests, learn new skills and build the character besides providing opportunities to develop confidence and forge new friendship. This balanced curriculum builds understanding across literacy, numeracy, creativity, communication, physical fitness, social awareness, and life skills. ASSET, a diagnostic test is done to encourage the competency building and emphasise on the computational thinking. At this stage we also put stress on building soft skills like teamwork, responsibility and empathy.
