As part of the HOPE Project Anti-Tobacco Campaign, Class 8 students visited the Cancer Department at Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad. Doctors explained different types of cancer, their main causes like tobacco use, pollution, and unhealthy lifestyle and different treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Students asked many questions and learned that early detection and prevention are the best ways to fight cancer. We also visited the cancer ward and saw how patients bravely undergo treatment, which made us realize the pain tobacco causes to families. The visit taught us that saying “No to Tobacco” is the best way to stay healthy and spread awareness in society.
